Canada Post Strike Information for Chamber Members

As you may be aware, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began a national strike on Thursday, September 25, 2025. This has resulted in a complete shutdown of all Canada Post services.

What this means for you:

  • No Mail Delivery: All mail and parcel delivery has been suspended. This includes all letters, invoices, and packages.
  • Post Office Closures: Some post offices may be closed.
  • No New Mail Accepted: Canada Post will not be accepting any new mail until the strike is over.

Membership Renewals and Payments

Due to the strike, we ask that you do not mail any cheques to the Chamber for membership renewals or other payments. If you have recently sent a cheque, we advise you to cancel it with your bank.

To renew your membership or make a payment, please use one of the following methods:

  • Credit Card by Phone: Please call our office at 613-933-4004 to make a payment over the phone.
  • EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer): Please contact us for our banking information to arrange an EFT.
  • E-transfer: You can send an e-transfer to bero@cornwallchamber.com.

We understand this may be an inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
