Empowering Our Community: Why Local Elections Matter to Every Business and Resident

Yet, voter participation in municipal elections has steadily declined in recent cycles. When voter turnout drops, the collective voice of our workforce, entrepreneurs, and families is diminished.  

The Our City, Your Vote initiative was launched to change that trend. As a non-partisan platform developed by the Chamber of Commerce, this initiative serves as a clear, centralized resource for civic literacy and voter engagement. Through candidate profiles, youth-led consultations, issue spotlights, and upcoming mayoral and council debates, Our City, Your Vote cuts through election noise to deliver accessible, objective information.

How to Get Involved

• Explore the issues: Review local candidate platforms and discover where they stand on local infrastructure, business development, and community services.

• Make your plan: Confirm your voter registration, note advance polling dates, and cast your ballot on municipal election day.
