The Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce AGM 2023

The Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce held the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 25th, 2023, in person at the Cornwall Public Library. The meeting included a President’s Report where President Gina Scandrett, reported on the Chamber’s accomplishments of 2022. The meeting concluded with the election of the Board of Directors, including Officer and Executive positions.

The President’s Report highlighted a few of the significant projects that the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce embarked on in 2022, including, the launch of a new website, the success of the BEA+ magazine and awards ceremony, the administration of My Main Street Grants, the return of Bridges to Better Businesses and the Chambers popular networking event, Pub Nights.

“I am very pleased to serve a second term as President of the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce, alongside the new and returning Directors. I look forward to another successful year said Gina Scandrett, President.

The AGM also recognized the departing Directors and formally electing the following to the Board of Directors for 2023:

• Kristin Davey – Director, The Happy Popcorn Co.

• Louise Gendron– Director, Studio 101
• Kristen MacDonell- Director, MacDonell Family Physiotherapy
• Amy Malyon- Director, City of Cornwall
• Nicholas Seguin – Director, Nicholas Seguin Creative
• Cristan Urroz- Director, Urroz

The departing Executive Directors include Irene Cameron/ REMAX, Eleanor McGrath/Springfield Farm and Meagan Bingley/ Rozon Insurance.
