Elections to the Board

The Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce holds elections for its Board of Directors in November of each year. All members in good standing are advised by mail and encouraged to seek office or, to nominate a worthy individual. Directors normally sit for a two year term before seeking re-election or, stepping down from the Board.

The President and Executive Committee are elected by the Board of Directors during its first official meeting, held in December immediately following the election. Executive positions are filled by nominations from the Board at the initial meeting and are carried out by secret ballot.

Elections for 2012/2013 Board Directors

Thursday, November 24 at 12:00 noon is the close for submitting your official ballot. The new Board of Directors will be announced Monday, November 28 2011, and will take affect December 13.
