The Cornwall International Crossing traffic flow continues to be disrupted by the re-located toll and Customs centres. The only movement has been a change in the federal Public Safety Minister with Vic Toews replacing Peter Van Loan.

How is your business still being adversely affected by the disruption?

Do you believe the new Minister will be able to effect movement towards a resolution? Why or why not?

If you had the opportunity, what would you like to say to Minister Toews?

The bridge crossing does not directly effect my business, however this is a big BLACK EYE in a commmunity desperately trying to change its image from industrial city to a clean and desirous place to call home.

I have clients on the U.S. side of the border.  I have not visited them because of the delay.  I am using phone and e-mail, which is not as good as face to face contact.

I think that this problem is systemic within the federal government, and changing ministers will not assist.

Please tell the minister to "GET THE BORDER OPENED."

Thank you.

We currently have a prospective project for a new home on Cornwall Island.  The current waiting times on the international bridge brings in a huge problem:  idle time for skilled construction workers and skilled subtrades.  The builder cannot absord the cost.  The homebuyer shouldn't have to incur additional costs.  The project is probably cancelled or indefinately postponed.  Frustrating!

It feels like  a non issue to the city of Cornwall.   No action taken at all  It has affected  everyone's business's
It is an International Crossing  and we are ignoring it's importance.
Many people I know , go back another way  and do their shopping outside of Cornwall now.
While we are  out there telling everyone the benefits of living here, how  dare we not take heed to the problem.
