Making City Hall Accessible for People with Disabilities
Would you like to know about temporary disruptions that occur in our facilities or in our services before you head out to meet with us?
Would you like fast and easy access to the people who can help you with an accessibility issue?
Would you like to know more about accessibility or read one of our monthly columns that are published in the Standard Freeholder, the Seaway News and Le Journal de Cornwall?
Do you want help in implementing your business’s Accessible Customer Service plan before the January 1, 2012, deadline?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you will be happy to hear that the City of Cornwall has launched it new “Accessibility” portion of its website.
People with disabilities should have the same kind of opportunities as everyone else. They should be able to do the things that most of us take for granted.
This portion of the City’s website has been created in order to help Cornwall citizens access information with respect to accessibility and to help local businesses become accessible in providing customer service to people with disabilities.
The City is committed to providing consistent customer service to persons with disabilities by
putting into practice these four key principles:
Dignity
Independence
Integration
Equal Opportunity
