The Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce holds elections in November of each year. All members in good standing are advised by mail and encourged to seek office or, to nominate a worthy individual. Directors normally sit for a two year term before seeking re-election or, stepping down from the Board.
The President and Executive are elected by the Board of Directors during its first official meeting, held in December immediately following the election. Executive positions are filled by nominations from the Board at the intial meeting and are done by secret ballot.
